The Smart Port Challenge (SPC) is an initiative organized by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) with the objective to source, nurture and deploy innovative solutions to enhance Maritime Singapore. SPC Program Partners include a group of leading players in Singapore’s port, shipping and logistics industry.
As part of the first phase of preparations to launch the SPC, TNB conducted a series of three Ideation & Problem Statement workshops together with MPA and the SPC Program Partners with the intention to gain a deep understanding of their pain points / challenges. Using LEAN Startup methodology to guide the process, TNB and SPC Program Partners worked together to craft impactful problem statements for the SPC Global Call. Each workshop invited senior and executive level staff from the SPC Program Partners to join the session, encouraging intrapreneurship and a sense of ownership to the program. The sessions were held on the 3rd, 6th, and 7th of April 2017, and saw attendance from over 25 senior / executive level participants across all sessions.
Following the Ideation & Problem Statement workshops, TNB will work with MPA and SPC Program partners to launch key selected Challenge Statements as part of SPC 2017.
