The Hackathon is part of the Park of the Future Innovation Programme, an initiative organised by Ascendas-Singbridge and powered by TNB Ventures.

In line with the ‘Built Environment’ as one of six clusters for Singapore’s next phase of economic transformation, this fast-paced 24 hour challenge will bring startup enthusiasts, developers and technologists together to explore and develop their ideas on improving experiences and operations of both commercial tenants and landlords in Singapore Science Park 2.

The event will take place at CoSpace Park, a joint venture between Ascendas-Singbridge and TNB Ventures. The new co-working space, already drawing positive reviews about boosting tenant vibrancy, will turn into a giant hackathon community on 28-29 April 2018.

With a mission to create smart working spaces, participating teams will develop fresh solutions that address 4 daily operational challenges specified by industry players. Teams also stand a chance to access piloting opportunities with Ascendas-Singbridge and tenants at Singapore Science Park 2 as well as a sum of cash prizes.

To differentiate itself from typical Hackathons, the organisers have included special perks such as on-site masseuse, rooftop barbecue in the evening and complimentary UX workshop for the hackers.

There is much excitement surrounding the POTF Hackathon. To date, the inaugural event has attracted 160 excited hacker sign ups with garnered interest from around the region, particularly Kuala Lumpur. Sponsors include Amazon Web Services, Balsamiq and Twizo, alongside community support from Tribr, NTUintuitive, Challenge Rocket, Woomentum and Palo IT.
