Held on the 25th January 2017, the event saw attendance from 54 industry professionals interested in early stage innovations. The event marked an important milestone for TNB as we unveiled the 6 startups selected to enter our Core Accelerator Program.
Startups invited to pitch to our community of Angel Investors and Corporate partners at TNB Selection Day were Connect2Me, Trabble, Evergrow, ChiBot, WhirlCell, and Veer. The startups come from a wide range of different verticals, including IoT, AgriTech/IoT, Virtual Reality and AI.
With the attendance of from high profile senior and C-level representatives from established large enterprises (such as Olympus, Accenture, Konica Minolta, and Motorola amongst many others), these startups were provided with a unique platform to explore new partnerships, garner interest from potential clients and distributers, as well as gain interest from potential investors.

Connect2Me, brings to the market an invention with a new technology that remove the complexity of consumer setup to the ease of support for factory/brands. With this invention, it will reduce the barrel of acceptance by consumer and reduce cost of support for factory/brands, hence reducing the cost of goods.
Trabble is a Chat-based Concierge, automated by Chatbots, that brings a Guest through the entire journey. Trabble serves to integrate local partners for content and services, to better the travellers’ recommendations and experiences.
Evergrow, is a one-stop-shop food machine. The solution is a ready-to-use controlled environment farm designed for urban and commercial set up. Suitable for both home users and the professional farmers, Evergrow provides its customers with a Farming-as-a-Service (FaaS) platform that can easily help you grow the perfect crop every time. Evergrow helps you control & monitor 24/7 from your smartphone, and anywhere in the world.
ChiBot makes it simple to go virtual reality by providing a platform where users can create their own VR space with no coding or 3D modelling needed. Users can lay out their VR spaces using a simple drag and drop interface linked to an Asset Store. Users can publish to any device.
WhirlCell address’ critical problems in both the research labs and industry. It offers a continuous cell separation technology based on inertial fluidics. Continuous process eliminates downtime related to filter changes. Removes debris to reduce fouling, increasing culture life and yield. Plug and play into existing production equipment (control, pumps etc.). Upward & downward scalable, even down to 50-150ml range (no existing solution).
Veer’s platform empowers businesses to design and envision living spaces in real-time and in actual scale. The platform allows users to import their own models from popularly used 3D software, and allows them to browse through a pre-defined e-commerce catalogue containing furniture and appliances from partner distributors and manufacturers. The platform allows for shared experiences, meaning business and client can collaborate live in the same virtual space, even if they aren’t in the same physical place.
